Intuit shares

rally on profits

The Nasdaq 100 After-Hours Indicator, which tracks members of theNasdaq-100 between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. New York time, shed 1.20 to1105.93.

Intuit Inc. rallied after the world's biggest maker of tax-preparation software said profit before some costs will reach thehigh end of its forecast. The company gained $1.69, or 4.9 percent,to $36.48 in after-hours trading, paring the 6.6 percent loss duringregular trading. Intuit's third quarter ends Wednesday, two weeksafter the April 15 U.S. tax-filing deadline.

Overstock.com Inc., an Internet seller of surplus and closeoutmerchandise, fell $1.05, or 10 percent, to $9.25 in extendedtrading.BLOOMBERG NEWS SERVICE
