Fed: Hinch appearance on Hookes turns into Hadley attack

Controversial 3AW broadcaster DERRYN HINCH has defended his on-air revelations that
dead cricketer DAVID HOOKES was separated from his wife.

HINCH appeared on Sydney radio station 2GB this morning in a fiery interview with morning
host RAY HADLEY.

The interview quickly degenerated when HADLEY asked whether HINCH had problems with
alcohol, and whether he'd been on air drunk.

The 14-times sacked HINCH, who turns 60 next week, said he was meeting 3AW management
this afternoon and would probably be dismissed after last week announcing on his drive-time
program that HOOKES and his wife had been estranged.

The announcement sparked outrage at 3AW, where HOOKES had also been a presenter.

HINCH said he broke the story of HOOKE's separation and extramarital affair on the
day of his funeral because of newspaper stories that painted the former Test cricketer
as a happily married man.
